Accu-Chek meter error codes

Understand the Accu-Chek Guide Me error codes (E-1, E-3, E-9, Err, and others) and what to do in each case.

Accu-Chek meter error codes

The error codes below are shown by the Accu-Chek Guide Me meter itself, not by Diablesse. Diablesse only imports valid readings; when the meter shows an error, no reading is generated to sync.

The table below summarizes the main codes and what to do in each case.

{% table %}

  • Test strip error — damaged, inserted incorrectly, or already used
  • Remove and reinsert the strip, or use a new one
  • ---

  • Meter or strip error. In rare cases, it may indicate glucose far above the measuring range
  • Repeat with a new strip. If you have symptoms of high glucose, seek medical guidance

  • Repeat the test with a new strip, applying enough blood
